PERFORMANCE BULLETIN 0635
Use of Lubricants on Components

When using lubricants on components, it is important of use the proper type. Silicone Compound (available from Pentair®), is strongly recommended for the best possible results for seal and spacer kits. The use of silicone based products that are sealants or have binding ingredients in them, like DOW111 can be used for non-moving O-rings or seals. They are not recommended for seal and spacer kits. These types of lubricants can cause the injector to become plugged, increase drive forces and cause damage to the seal and spacer kit. When using silicone seals do not use any type of lubrications other than water. The use of other types of lubricants may attack the control’s plastic or rubber components.
