2023 EPA Perchlorate Regulation Update
Perchlorate regulation has been a contentious issue since the first formal EPA decision in 2011. The scientific consensus now is that Perchlorates are of sufficient risk to necessitate being regulated as a Primary Contaminant.
Certain PFAS will be added into the Toxics Release Inventory
EPA released a list of 172 PFAS chemicals that are subject to TRI reporting. Facilities in TRI-covered industry sectors should track and collect data on these PFAS during 2020.
