The Office of United States Trade Representatives has posted three separate lists of goods imported from China that will be impacted by additional tariffs under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974. To determine if a good is impacted, refer to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) Code. Each good has the corresponding eight-digit HTSUS code next to it. Search (Ctrl+F) each list for your HTSUS codes.

Review the status of all three lists of effected goods imported from China:

  • List One

  • Went into effect July 6
  • The requests for exclusions process for goods on List One started on July 6
  • The deadline to submit requests for exclusions is October 9

House Bill 4318, recently signed into law, does not affect the duties imposed pursuant to Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974. HR 4318 will continue for three years (technically through December 31, 2020), most of the general tariff relief that had been in place under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States but had expired. We would refer you to the list on HR 4318.
