| Pentair has made the following adjustments to the 5800 valve piston rod and retainer: 1. In January 2018, we introduced a more robust snap feature on the piston rod, as well as a red retainer. Note: This will also affect all 5000 replacement piston assemblies. 2. As of October 2017, the piston rods have been marked with a white or blue dot, indicating its type. This change also applies to the 5810 and 5812 valves. a. A white dot indicates a downflow piston. b. A blue dot indicates an upflow piston. |
