“Better Water Today” touts benefits of quality drinking water in the home
LISLE, Ill. – “Better Water Today,” a new consumer-focused website explaining the benefits of in-home or at-the-tap drinking water treatment, was introduced at the Water Quality Association’s Mid-Year Leadership Conference. The website, which uses easy-to-understand language and illustrations, is at betterwatertoday.org.
“Outreach to consumers is an important part of WQA’s mission,” said Tom Bruursema, WQA’s Associate Executive Director of Member and Public Engagement. “This website will help homeowners understand the value of quality water in their homes and small businesses.”
The site features:
- Water basics and information on common water contaminants
- A link to the new WQRF Contaminant Occurrence Map
- A recommended three-step process for improving your water quality: Consult with a professional, test your water and then treat it with products proven effective against your specific quality issues
- Links to look up water treatment professionals (WQA members) and certified products
The website has associated social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
