This would be a great project for Hach and the WQA to participate on together in the United States. Consumer awareness of water quality issues would increase, water quality improvement experts would have access to a relatively reliable baseline database of important raw water information and regulators/legislators would have much broader data to work with in making projections relating to water and environmental legislation.

Soft Water is Good for Heart Health?
Sodium bicarbonate in this bottled water is given credit for the health benefit…Water softening through ion exchange removes inorganic Calcium (and other metallic ions – depending on the resin) from the water and leaves sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate as byproducts of the ion exchange softening process.
So, based on this report one might logically deduce that ion exchange soft water is good for your heart health…very interesting indeed.
