Attendee registration for WQA Aquatech USA 2015 will open in early November. The annual Convention and Exposition will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from April 21–24, 2015.
The WQA Water Sciences Committee recently hosted an online meeting and forum regarding themicrocystin contamination in Toledo, Ohio. It was the first time WQA provided a platform for members to share information while WQA presented background information about the contaminant. A total of 72 people participated. Anyone member interested in obtaining minutes from the Forum may contact WQA Technical Affairs at kredden@wqa.org.
WQA is seeking a speaker to make a four-hour presentation on water treatment for hospitals and laboratories. The presentation will be given at an American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) Regional Workshop in San Antonio, Texas, in February 2015 (exact date/time TBD). Interested parties are encouraged to submit a title and description of the proposed presentation, plus a professional bio for the speaker, to Dr. Tanya Lubner, WQA director of Education & Professional Certification, at tlubner@wqa.org.
