Shuttle and Transportation Services

The Pacific Palm Resort works with Super Shuttle. At a rate of $40-$50 for the first person and $9 for the 2nd person – See more at: you can pick up Super Shuttle outside of baggage claim at the LAX Airport and be driven to the Pacific Palm Resort. Private Transportation/Limousine Companies (costs range from $145-175 for Sedan/SUV options)

  • Local travel costs with an average 3-hour minimum, and including Fees/Gratuities, range from:

This year’s PWQA educational theme is developed around “Doing it right” when it comes to improving water and doing better business.

The WQA will be providing a workshop on residential water treatment equipment sizing based on the Fundamentals module of the MEP.

Our four primary educational sessions are as follows:

Annual Meeting

Each year Pacific Water Quality Association hosts an Annual Meeting during the convention. This year the meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 19th from 4:00 – 5:30pm at the Pacific Palms Resort. In addition to association business, a state of the Association both regionally and nationally will be presented by representatives from the PWQA and WQA.

WQA Presents

Water Treatment Fundamentals – MEP Style: This interactive session walks through the MEP learning activities in the Fundamentals module, including calculating service flow rates from fixture counts, softener capacity sizing, calculations related to RO operation, and backwashing filter selection.

If you’re already enrolled in the MEP, this is an opportunity to complete coursework in the Fundamentals module. If you haven’t signed up, it’s a great way to learn more about commonly-used treatment technologies and sizing.

Pre-registration is required. All attendees should bring either a laptop computer (Apple or PC) or an iPad to work on (Note: Some elearning activities may not work correctly on iPads). Box lunch is included in the registration fee. To download compatible browsers, please visit wqa.treklem.com. Android tablets may be used to complete experiential learning activities but are not supported for the eLearning activities.

Banquet Dinner and Industry Awards

The 2016 Banquet Dinner and Industry Awards will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 starting at 6:30 pm. The evening’s agenda includes a great meal and presentation of several well deserved industry awards.
This event is a great opportunity to mingle in an enjoyable social setting. This event will have a non-hosted cash bar.

Silent Auction & Reception

We will be hosting a silent auction. All auction items will be on display in the foyer. The auction will conclude at the end of the trade show Thursday at 7:00 pm, please join us in the exhibit hall for a Reception. Enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and mingle at with your colleagues from the water improvement industry. At the end of the event, several lucky winners will go away with a great prize. This event will have a non-hosted cash bar.
