National Groundwater Awareness WeekAbout 44 percent of the U.S. population, and as much as 96 percent in rural areas, relies on groundwater for its drinking supply.

Contaminated groundwater not only compromises the drinking supply, but also the environmental ecosystems that depend on it.

The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) is drawing public attention to groundwater and water well stewardship issues by sponsoring National Groundwater Awareness Week, which takes place Mar. 8-14, 2015. NGWA offers a variety of promotional resources on its website to help educate the public about steps they can take to protect groundwater. As a national supporting partner of this event, WQA encourages its member companies to join in this important awareness effort. Click here for details on how you can get involved.
