The American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 1994 to promote rainwater catchment systems in the United States. Our membership consists of professionals working in city, state, and federal government, academia, manufacturers and suppliers of rainwater harvesting equipment, consultants, and other interested individuals. Membership is not limited to the United States, and we encourage all rainwater harvesting practitioners and enthusiasts to join our organization.

ARCSA’s 11th Annual Conference
Our 2015 Conference will focus on rainwater catchment for uses beyond the garden as well as using water supplies wisely. We will look at how rainwater catchment is one solution to mitigating drought and decentralizing stormwater pollution.

Keynote

Colin Frayne of Association of Water Technologies is the keynote speaker for this year’s event. Mr. Frayne has a great depth of experience with reusing water, water management, and water shortages around the world.

Session Topics

Other topics will include: Performance-Based Water Conservation with WERS, Codes and Regulations, Potable Water Standards, Rainwater for Cooling Tower Make-up Water, Home Depot’s Dedication or Rainwater Catchment, and Commercial Level Raingardens. In addition, attendees will hear the results of several research projects involving rainwater catchment.

ARCSA Social

Last year’s conference attendees requested opportunities for networking — we heard you! Thanks to a sponsorship by RainHarvesting Supplies Inc., the 2015 Conference will feature an ARCSA Social at Café Sevilla on Monday, November 9 from 6 – 8 pm. The ARCSA Social is included in your registration and/or you may purchase additional individual tickets. Tickets include a drink, appetizers, and plenty of time to get to know your fellow rainwater harvesters.

Irrigation Association

ARCSA will continue our relationship with the Irrigation Association (IA) and provide attendees ARCSA’s educational rainwater sessions, IA’s educational irrigation sessions, the IA’s Gala on Tuesday night as well as access to the irrigation/rainwater/pond exhibition. California has proven to be IA’s best and biggest shows and they are looking forward to co-locating with ARCSA again this year in Long Beach, California. With water in the West at a premium, more attendees than ever will be looking for new and better ways to collect and retain water, so don’t miss the EXPO opportunity.
